CD Povoa (Liga Betclic) tabbed 26-year old French 195cm point guard Renathan Embo (college: Tulane). Embo played most recently at Zalakeramia ZTE KK in Hungarian A Division. In 16 games he averaged 13.1ppg, 2.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.0spg last season. He helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Chorale de Roanne in French Betclic ELITE ProA where in 32 games he had 3.0ppg and 1.1apg in that year.
Embo represented France at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Crete (Greece) eight years ago. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 2.7ppg, 1.4rpg, 1.3apg.
He graduated from Tulane University in 2020 and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball.
