The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Caceres (11-4) on the court of eleventh ranked Caja 87 on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Caja 87 90-89. Naturalized Bosnian Nedim Djedovic (205-1997) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Point guard Oscar Alvarado (184-1991) answered with 18 points and 7 assists and guard Fernando Sierra (196-1995) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Caceres. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caja 87 (7-8) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams. Caceres at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They share it with Iraurgi SB. Caja 87 is looking forward to face league’s second-placed Iraurgi SB in Azpeitia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Caceres will play at home against La Leonesa and is hoping to win this game.
