Antonio Iannuzzi
30-year old power forward Antonio Iannuzzi (208-F/C-91) had a very impressive game in the last round for Mantova and receives a Hoops Agents Serie A2 Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 23 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Mantova in his team’s victory, helping them to edge out Orzinuovi (#14, 1-14) 67-65. Mantova is placed at 8th position in Italian Serie A2. Mantova is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-9 record. Iannuzzi turned to be Mantova’s top player in his first season with the team. Iannuzzi has impressive league stats. He is in league’s top in rebounds (4th best: 9.4rpg) and averages solid 52.8% FGP.
Second best performed player last round was Nick King (201-F-95) of Cd’Orlando. He is American forward in his first season at Cd’Orlando. In the last game King recorded impressive double-double of 25 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Cd’Orlando to edge the lower-ranked Biella (#13, 3-11) by 4 points 95-91. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in VERDE. But Cd’Orlando managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 9th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 6-9 record. King is a newcomer at Cd’Orlando and quickly became one of team’s most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.4ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 6.8rpg and 3.1apg.
Third place about best performers goes to another Cd’Orlando’s star – swingman Tevin Mack (198-G/F-97). Mack got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He was another key player of Cd’Orlando, helping his team with a 95-91 win against the lower-ranked Biella (#13, 3-11). The chances of Cd’Orlando ranking at the top of VERDE, however are very questionable as they have already lost 9 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Mack could help Cd’Orlando to bring them higher in the standings. Mack has a very solid season. In 14 games in Italy he scored 17.8ppg. He also has 5.7rpg and FGP: 57.3%.
