Defending champion Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul (BSL) tabbed experienced 36-year old American 188cm guard Errick McCollum (college: Goshen). McCollum started the season at Pinar Karsiyaka in the BSL. He has played there for the last three years. Good season as he was voted League Player of the Week. McCollum played 6 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged impressive 22.0ppg, 3.7rpg, 3.0apg and 1.7spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
McCollum is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in six different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian and of course North American leagues. McCollum has played previously professionally in China (Golden Bulls and Royal Fighters), Greece (Panionios and Apollon Patras), Israel (Elitzur Maccabi Netanya), Russia (UNICS Kazan, Khimki and Lokomotiv) and The Basketball Tournament (Overseas Elite). He won 3x TBT (The Basketball Tournament) championship title. McCollum was selected to Eurobasket.com EuroCup All-Imports Team back in 2016 and 2020.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Fenerbahce.
He graduated from Goshen College in 2010 and it is his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
