This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Sigortam.net (9-5) to first ranked Erokspor (11-4) 68-67 on Monday evening. 24 personal fouls committed by Sigortam.net helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American point guard Maurice Watson (178-1993, college: Creighton) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. His fellow American import center Jeremy Simmons (204-1989, college: Charleston) helped adding 13 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Koray Uzunhasan (186-1992) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Sigortam.net’s coach Ceyhun Cabadak rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Erokspor have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-4 record. Sigortam.net at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Cayirova. Erokspor are looking forward to face TED Ankara (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Sigortam.net will play against Cayirova in Kocaeli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

TED Ankara have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 9-6 record. Anka Spor at the other side still closes the standings with 14 games lost. TED Ankara will play against league’s leader Erokspor in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Loser Cayirova keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Sigortam.net. Bordo will meet Ormanspor (#16) in the next round. Cayirova will play against Sigortam.net (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Kapakli Spor recorded a loss to Fenerbahce 2 on the road 87-79. Balikesir BBS was defeated by Trabzonspor on its own court 77-90. Cedi Osman was beaten by Ankaragucu in a road game 76-66.
