The game between third ranked Dynamo-MGTU (8-4) and fifth ranked Khimki-Podmos. (8-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Dynamo-MGTU was defeated by Khimki-Podmos. in Khimki 78-63. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dynamo-MGTU. They outrebounded Dynamo-MGTU 37-24 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Semen Krasilshchikov (197-2000) who scored 14 points. Ivan Potezhnyi (210-2002) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Khimki-Podmos.’s coach Roman Dvinyaninov used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Konstantin Klementiev (180-2002) who recorded 23 points. Khimki-Podmos. moved-up to third place, which they share with Dynamo-MGTU and Rusichi. Khimki-Podmos. is looking forward to face Desna (#8) in Bryansk in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dynamo-MGTU will play at home against the league’s second-placed Dynamo Ufa (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

They maintain third place with 8-4 record having six points less than leader Neftekhimik T., which they share with Khimki-Podmos. and Rusichi. Khimki-Podmos. will play against Desna and hopes to get back on the winning track.
