Hapoel Shlomo Tel-Aviv (Winner League) signed 23-year old Israeli international point guard Yam Madar (190cm-2000). It is actually his comeback to Hapoel Tel Aviv as he has played here before. Madar already started the season at Bayern in German BBL league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 8 BBL games he recorded 4.3ppg, 1.6rpg and 1.8apg. He also played 5 games in Euroleague where he averaged 4.2ppg, 1.4rpg and 1.6apg.
In 2020 he was drafted by Boston Celtics (NBA) in second round (47th overall).
Madar has been also a member of Israeli international program for some years. He has regularly played for Israeli senior team since 2020 and previously for U18 National Team in 2018.
Madar represented Israel at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Tel-Aviv (Israel) five years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 7 games: 15.9ppg, 3.1rpg, Assists-1(7.7apg), 1.4spg, FGP: 53.1%, 3PT: 47.6%, FT: 81.3%.
He has played previously professionally in Serbia (Partizan) and Turkey (Fenerbahce). Madar won Turkish League championship title in 2024.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Euroleague Rising Star of the Year in 2023.
