The Charlotte Hornets set a franchise record for most points scored in their 158-126 win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

“We were due for one of these games,” Hornets’ head coach James Borrego said after the game, via the Hornets.
“We believe in our shooters. We’re one of the best shooting teams in the NBA. It was just a matter of time before we saw it drop. We just got rolling one guy after another.”
Charlotte currently ranks fourth in team three-point percentage at 37.1%.
Hornets’ forward Kelly Oubre Jr. led all scorers with 39 on 12-18 shooting from the field and 10-15 shooting from three; tying the franchise record for most three pointers made in a single game.
Hornets’ guard LaMelo Ball had 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists on 11-16 shooting.
Center Goga Bitadze played well for the Pacers with 17 points and six rebounds on 8-12 shooting in just 19 minutes of play.
But it was apparent that little to no defense was being played.
The Hornets continue their roll to the playoffs with a 27-22 record; just 4.5 games out of first place in the Eastern Conference.
