The most interesting game of round 10 was a derby match between two teams from Latvia. The game took place in Riga where tenth ranked Ventspils edged host LU (0-9) 89-87. Arturs Ausejs (192-1990) scored 25 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard MJ Randolph (193-1999, college: FAMU) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side Rihards Aleksandrovs (201-2002) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. LU’s coach tried various players’ combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Ventspils (4-5) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Rapla. LU at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. Ventspils is looking forward to face league’s leader VEF Riga on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. LU will play against Tartu (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

They moved-up to sixth place. Rapla at the other side keeps the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with Ventspils. Tartu will play against bottom-ranked LU (#15) in Riga in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rapla will have a break next round.

(#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive stats of the last round was 23 points and 10 rebounds by Klavs Dubults of Liepaja.
Viimsi – BK Ogre 53-70
Very expected game when 13th ranked Estonian Viimsi (1-7) was defeated at home by fifth ranked Latvian BK Ogre (6-4) 70-53 on Sunday. BK Ogre held Viimsi to an opponent 23.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.3 percent accuracy of the winners. Latvian Kristaps Dargais (198-1990) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Latvian Karlis Apsitis (200-1992) chipped in 13 points. BK Ogre’s coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jorgen Rikberg (185-2002) produced 16 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and Kristjan Kokk (201-2001) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. BK Ogre maintains fifth position with 6-4 record. Viimsi lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with seven games lost. BK Ogre will meet at home Parnu (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Viimsi will play against TalTech and hope to win that game.
