The reigning Finals MVP had a tough Wednesday night.
Jaylen Brown scored 25 points with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, but he was very inefficient, going 11-for-30 from the field including 1-11 from three-point range.
He also missed a potential game tying three at the end of overtime.
My thought was he was going to replicate the Game 1 shot from the Eastern Conference Finals last year, but alas, he was unable to.
Brown also missed two key free throws in overtime that, at the time, would have cut the Pacers lead to one point.
Brown took responsibility for the Celtics’ lack of energy during the game.
“Our energy was lackluster,” Brown said. “A lot of that was on me. I gotta be better for my guys… Simple stuff, making open shots.”
Brown had a rough night, he missed a few layups around the rim as well, but he was a big part in the Celtics comeback.
