It’s still too early stage of the Regular Season in VTB-Youth League, but even now we can clearly see the difference between stronger teams and outsiders. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Zenit-2 (5-1) recorded its first loss in Saint Petersburg on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Parma-2 (3-3) 76-70. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Zenit-2. Uralmash-2 will play on the road against the league’s second-placed Zenit-2 in Saint Petersburg and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Avtodor-2 – UNICS-2 60-74

Bottom-ranked Avtodor-2 (0-6) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 74-60 loss to tenth ranked UNICS-2 (2-2) in Saratov on Friday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Alexandr Gerega (192-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Magomednabi Khalilulaev (186-2006) who added 16 points and 6 assists during the contest. Guard Petr Forsov (184-2005) responded with 17 points and guard Rustem Gabaraev (190-2006) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. UNICS-2 moved-up to eighth place. Loser Avtodor-2 still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Samara-2 and Enisey-2. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Yaroslav Anikin (198-2005) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Vladimir Semenchenko (193-2005) who added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Center Ivan Kasyanov (205-2005) responded with 13 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Georgiy Marufov (195-2006) scored 9 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. N.Novgorod-2 moved-up to fourth place. Loser Samara-2 still closes the standings with six games lost. No shocking result in a game in Krasnodar where top-ranked Lokomotiv-2 (2-0) smashed bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (0-6) 102-52 on Friday. Lokomotiv-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2‘s 40 and made 33-of-33 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game.
