TBL newcomer Trabzonspor Medical Park Basketbol strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old former international 207cm center Ege Arar. Arar already started the season at Darussafaka in the BSL. In only one game he had 4 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. TBL will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time.
He was also a member of Turkish international program for some years. Arar played for Turkish Senior National Team between 2018 and 2021 and previously for U19 National Team back in 2015.
He represented Turkey at the European Championship (FIBA EuroBasket) U20 in Ararlsinki (Finland) eight years ago. Arar’s team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 7 games: 8.6ppg, 4.9rpg, FGP: 56.3%, FT: 40.0%.
He has played previously for four other teams: Galatasaray, Manisa, Petkimspor and Bodrum. His team made it to the League Semifinals in 2016 and 2019.
Arar was voted to Turkish League All-Star Game back in 2018.
