The game had a very big importance for second-ranked MBA-2 as it allowed them to take a leadership position. MBA-2 defeated one of their biggest challengers Parma-2 in Moscow 83-79. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Parma-2. It was a key game for the top position in the league. MBA-2 made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game, while Parma-2 only scored five points from the stripe. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MBA-2 made 7 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Parma-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Matvey Padius (194-2006) fired 22 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Klim Adaykin (195-2005) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Ivan Egorov (189-2005, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) produced 24 points and 5 steals for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MBA-2 have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Parma-2 at the other side keeps the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with N.Novgorod-2 and Minsk. Parma-2 will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. MBA-2 will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Parma-2 in Perm.

Vladislav Shamray contributed with 18 points for the winners. Forward Vitaly Duchko (197-2006) replied with 8 points and 10 rebounds for Minsk. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. N.Novgorod-2 moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Parma-2 and Minsk. N.Novgorod-2 will again play against Minsk (#6) at home in the next round. Minsk will have a break next round.
Bottom-ranked Enisey-2 (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 74-61 loss to eighth ranked Uralmash-2 (2-2) in Krasnoyarsk on Wednesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Matvey Reshetov who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 8 rebounds, 14 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side Vadim Afanasev responded with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Enisey-2’s coach Sergei Bukarev rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Uralmash-2 moved-up to seventh place. Loser Enisey-2 still closes the standings with four games lost. Uralmash-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Enisey-2 will play again against Uralmash-2 (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
N.Novgorod-2 – Minsk 68-60
