American power forward DeAndre Williams (206-F/C-1996, college: Memphis) was the top scorer of the day in the world yesterday with the 39 points he had in the Fiba Europe Cup. Williams graduated from University of Memphis last year. Despite his strong performance, his team Sabah was edged by the Spirou Charleroi 81 to 82. 7 out of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. He won the Taiwanese T1 League championship title earlier this year. Among many awards he was selected to the NABC Division 1 All-District 24 First Team in 2023 during his college time. Williams was also selected to the All-AAC Second Team in 2022 and the All-Tournament Team between 2022 and 2023.
