Center Jonathan Jeanne (218-1997) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for Poitiers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chalons-Reims (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Poitiers at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with 6 other teams. Chalons-Reims is looking forward to face Vichy (#18) at home in the next round. Poitiers will play against Gries-Souffel (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The winners were led by Jonathan Hoyaux who scored that evening 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 17 points and 4 assists by Duane Wilson did not help to save the game for Chartres. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saint-Chamond moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 6 other teams. Newly promoted Chartres still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Hyeres-Toulon. Other games in round 4 were not that significant. Fos-sur-Mer was smashed by Aix-Maurienne on the road 86-66. Denain-Voltaire lost to undefeated Boulazac on its own court 63-80. Vichy unfortunately lost to Gries-Souffel in a road game 80-87. Nantes lost to undefeated Pau-Lacq-Orthez at home 84-89. Rouen was defeated by Antibes on the opponent’s court 84-92.
The most impressive performance of 4th round was 23 points by Samir Gbetkom of Antibes.
Aix-Maurienne – Fos-sur-Mer 86-66
Everything could happen in Aix-les-Bains at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Aix-Maurienne and 7th ranked Provence Basket had identical 2-1 record.
