Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen (Pro Basketball League) inked 29-year old American 186cm point guard Joshua Heath (college: Georgia Tech). He is a well-known player in Belgian BNXT League as he was assist leader at Spirou Basket Charleroi. In 29 BNXT League games in Belgium he averaged 8.4ppg, 2.2rpg, 4.3apg and 1.2spg last season.
His team made it to the Belgian Cup Finalist in 2024 final.
For four previous seasons (2019-23) he played at another Belgian team Leuven Bears. He also played 3 games in Pro Basketball League where he had very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 1.0rpg, 6.3apg (leader !!!) and 3.0spg in 2022-23 year.
Heath has played previously professionally in Slovenia (Ilirija) and Turkey (Ankara D.S.I.).
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League Honorable Mention back in 2020.
He graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2017 and it will be his eighth season in pro basketball. His team made it to the Belgian Cup Finalist in 2024 final. Heath played also for University of South Florida for one year.
