The Regular Season in NM1 just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

SO Maritime Boulogne defeated Charleville-Mezieres in Boulogne-sur-Mer 80-64. Boulogne dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Charleville-Mezieres‘s 16. Boulogne looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Mika Adams-Woods (190-2000, college: St.Bonaventure) stepped up and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and power forward Sydney Hawmmond (214-2000) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Charleville-Mezieres will play next round against Saint Vallier trying to get back on the winning streak. Quite upsetting was Tarbes-Lourdes home defeat in a game versus Quimper who edged hosts 75-72. Tarbes-Lourdes was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Jamar Abrams fired 21 points for the winners. Marius Chambre produced 28 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Quimper will meet at home Levallois in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tarbes-Lourdes will play against Pole France in Paris and hope to win that game.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: Pole France lost to Levallois on the opponent’s court 66-83. Angers managed to outperform Fougeres in a home game 83-81. Toulouse lost to Challans on the road 51-76. Lorient crushed Les Sables on its own court 97-72. Loon-Plage beat SCABB in a road game 64-62. Saint Vallier won against Mulhouse at home 83-74. Besancon lost to Le Havre on the opponent’s court 77-82. Avignon/Pontet lost to Lyon in a home game 64-96. Metz lost to Orchies on the road 75-85.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists by Joe Burton of Orchies.



Group A

Poissy – Tours 71-80

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Poissy at the home court. Hosts were defeated by Tours 80-71. Tours brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks.
