The Pelicans’ NBA G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, has secured the rights to guard Au’Diese Toney from the Grand Rapids Gold, the Nuggets’ G League team, in a trade for Tevian Jones, according to a Gold Twitter update.
Toney, 24, played 12 regular-season games with the Gold last season, where he averaged 12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game. He entered the G League undrafted after his college career at Arkansas.
