Semt77 Yalova Belediye Spor (BSL) agreed terms with 29-year old Slovenian ex-international forward Martin Krampelj (206cm-107kg-1995, college: Creighton) for new 2024-25 season. Krampelj played last season at Iwate Big Bulls in Japanese league. In 46 B2 League games he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 6.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.5spg (in top 5). 2023-24 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D2 Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Astana in Kazakhstan league where in 5 West Asia Super League games he recorded 14.4ppg and 4.8rpg in that year. He also played for Givova Scafati Basket in Italian Serie A. In three games he averaged 5.3ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.3spg in that year. The other team he played that season for was MKS in Polish OBL. In 22 games he got remarkable 15.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.0apg, 1.4spg and 1.0bpg in that year. Krampelj also played 9 games in Alpe Adria Cup where he got 12.7ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.2apg, 1.8spg and 1.2bpg in that year. He helped them to win the cup. 2022-23 was a great season as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Alpe Adria Cup Honorable Mention.
Krampelj was a member of Slovenian international program for some years. He was called to Slovenian Senior National Team back in 2017 and previously for U20 National Team in 2015.
Krampelj is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in five different countries. He tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. Krampelj has played previously professionally in Canada (Honey Badgers), Spain, Uruguay (Aguada), NBA G League (Sioux Falls Skyforce) and Poland (GTK).
He graduated from Creighton University in 2019 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
