Lions de Geneve (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 20-year old 200cm center Omar Ali for season 2024-25. Ali has played for the last two years at Lugano Tigers. In 6 SBL games he recorded just 2.2ppg and 2.3rpg last season.
He represented Switzerland at the FIBA U20 European Championship Division B in Skopje (North Macedonia) last year. His stats at that event were 7 games: 5.0ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.0apg, 1.1bpg.
Ali has played previously for Lugano Tigers U23 team.
