BC Rytas Vilnius (LKL) signed 25-year old American swingman Savion Flagg (201cm-101kg-1999, college: SHSU) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Flagg played last season at Telekom Baskets Bonn in German BBL league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 38 BBL games he recorded 8.7ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.3apg. He also played 15 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 7.1ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.3apg. Flagg helped them to make it to the quarterfinals.
The previous (2023) summer he played at the Suns in NBA. But in four games he got just 1.3ppg and 2.5rpg in 2023 year.
He represented USA at the Albert Schweitzer International Tournament in Mannheim (Unofficial World Championships U18) eight years ago. His stats at that event were 6 games: 1.7ppg, 3.7rpg, 2.7apg.
Flagg has played also professionally in Greece (Lavrio).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his college team made it to the FIBA International Cup final in 2023. He was voted Lou Flaggnson National Player of the Year Award Finalist in 2022.
He graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2022 and it will be his third season as a professional player. Flagg played also for Texas A&M University for 4 years.
