Givova Scafati Basket (Serie A) agreed terms with 24-year old American forward Sage Tolbert III (201cm-95kg-1999, college: SJSU) for new 2024-25 season. He played last season at Egis Kormend in Hungarian A Division. In 32 games he had very impressive stats: 16.2ppg, 8.1rpg (#5 in the league), 1.2apg and 1.3spg. Great season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian A Division Forward of the Year, named to All-Imports Team and League Player of the Week.
His team reached the MWC Tournament Semifinals in 2023.
He graduated from San Jose State University in 2023 and it’ll be his second season as a pro player. Tolbert played for other colleges such as Temple University and Southeast Missouri State University.
