Dolomiti Energia Trentino (Serie A) added to their roster 25-year old American center Selom Mawugbe (207cm-104kg-1998, college: Azusa Pacific) for new 2024-25 season. Mawugbe played last season at BAXI Manresa in Spanish Liga Endesa. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. But in 13 Liga Endesa games he recorded just 1.9ppg and 2.1rpg. Mawugbe also played for Le Mans in French Betclic ELITE ProA where in 21 games he averaged 4.5ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1bpg. He also played 8 games in Basketball Champions League where he had 4.6ppg, 5.6rpg and 2.0bpg.
Three years ago (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Santa Cruz Warriors (G-League) in second round (28th overall).
Mawugbe graduated from Azusa Pacific University in 2020 and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
He has played also professionally in Germany (Seawolves), The Basketball Tournament (Team Challenge ALS) and NBA Summer League (GS Warriors and GS Warriors). Mawugbe’s team made it to the PacWest Tournament Semifinals in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Mawugbe was voted All-PacWest Player of the Year back in 2020.
