The Los Angeles Clippers will relocate its G League team to Oceanside, California starting in the 2024-25 season, the team announced on Monday.
The G League team will also rebrand as the San Diego Clippers and play at the Frontwave Arena.
“We are proud to re-introduce the San Diego Clippers into this passionate sports market. Our G League team is a critical part of our business and basketball operation, and we are thrilled to be relocating to the new Frontwave Arena next season,” said Halo Sports and Entertainment CEO Gillian Zucker.
The Clippers played in the San Diego area from 1978-1984.
