In a recent episode of teammate Michael Porter Jr.’s podcast, “Curious Mike,” Nikola Jokic, the two-time MVP and reigning NBA champion, shared his perspective on the top players in the league alongside him.
When asked to name his top five, Jokic highlighted Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and Steph Curry.
Despite acknowledging the challenge of narrowing down the list, he also mentioned Jayson Tatum and Giannis Antetokounmpo as players who could easily make the cut.
“Joel [Embiid], Luka [Doncic], you got to put KD and LeBron there even if they’re a little bit older, but I think they can still perform,” Jokic said. “Steph [Curry]. Then you have [Jayson] Tatum, Giannis [Antetokounmpo]. I think it’s really impossible [to name just five]. Maybe you like some player more than some other, like his game or whatever. But I think it’s really hard to put top five, even top ten to be honest.”
Jokic’s selections reflect a mix of established veterans and rising stars, showcasing his appreciation for a diverse range of playing styles.
