New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum has been diagnosed with a small pneumothorax, essentially a collapsed lung, in his right lung, the team announced on Sunday. Further examinations are scheduled over the next two days to determine the recovery timeline.
This injury is not new for McCollum, as he had a similar issue in December 2021 and returned approximately six weeks later. The Pelicans, already contending with other significant injuries, face challenges on an already short-handed roster.
