Marvin Jefferson

TBL newcomer Kapakli Spor inked experienced 37-year old American 206cm center Marvin Jefferson (college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) for upcoming season. Jefferson joins another USA player Troy Franklin who is already in the roster.
He played most recently at KB Peja in Kosovan Superliga. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 16 Superliga games he averaged 4.8ppg and 3.2rpg. He helped them to win the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Jefferson also played 7 games in Balkan League where he had 5.6ppg, 4.1rpg and 1.0apg. He contributed to his team making it to the Balkan League final after they ended regular season as second best team. The other team he played shortly was Maccabi Ironi Ramat Gan in Israeli National League. In 5 games he recorded 8.8ppg, 4.6rpg and 1.0bpg.
Jefferson is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Jefferson has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Apoel and Apollon), France (JA Vichy, Quimper UJAP, Boulazac Basket and Saint Chamond), Mexico (Dorados), Poland (Stal), Ukraine (Cherkasy), Uruguay (Bigua), Turkey (Gelisim, Final Spor, Akhisar Bld, Mugla Orman and Balikesir) and Israel (Elitzur Maccabi Netanya).
Among many awards he was voted to Eurobasket.com Cyprus League All-Defensive Team back in 2018.
It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Kapakli Spor.
He graduated from University of Idaho in 2010 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball. Jefferson played also for Modesto Junior College for 2 years.
