Former NBA champion and Celtics legend Paul Pierce recently addressed the infamous video of him and strippers in the background that led to his firing from ESPN. The candid revelation took place during his appearance on the Fox celebrity competition show “Stars on Mars.”
In a trailer released by Fox, Pierce explained that the video was recorded at his friend’s birthday party, where alcohol was flowing freely. He took responsibility for his actions, admitting that he made a mistake by uploading the video to social media.
“Yeah, I lost my job at ESPN over it. You know, we all made some mistakes. Maybe I wouldn’t be on Mars if that didn’t happen. See? things happen for a reason,” Pierce candidly said.
The incident, which occurred in 2021, created a media frenzy and led to ESPN’s decision to terminate Pierce’s contract. Despite the setback, Pierce is now embracing new opportunities like his participation in “Stars on Mars,” showing that he is ready to move forward from the incident.
