American Jalen Dupree (205-F/C-1998) put on an amazing game in the last round for IA and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents D1 Player of the Week award for round 27.
The 24-year old power forward had a double-double of 24 points and twelve rebounds, while his team edged out Skallagrimur (#4, 15-12) 80-79. IA maintains the 7th position in Icelandic D1. IA is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-16 record. In the team’s last game Dupree had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be IA’s top player in his first season with the team. Tennessee State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Dupree is in league’s top in points (8th best: 19.3ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 12.3rpg) and averages solid 1.2bpg and 57.4% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young American forward Ahmad Gilbert (200-F-1996) of Hrunamenn. Gilbert impressed basketball fans with 34 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Hrunamenn lost that game 79-101 to slightly lower-ranked Thor AK (#10, 2-25). Hrunamenn is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 9-18 record. Gilbert is a newcomer at Hrunamenn and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 31.9ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 12.4rpg and 5.4apg.
The third best performed player last round was American Keith Jordan (198-PF-1998) of Skallagrimur (#4). Jordan showcased his all-around game by recording 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Jordan’s great performance Skallagrimur lost 79-80 to the lower-ranked IA (#7, 11-16). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Skallagrimur needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 12 lost games. Jordan has a great season in Iceland. After 25 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 30.5ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 10.5rpg (5th best). He also has 2.6spg, 1.5bpg and FGP: 62.0%.

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it’s accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
