Adam Silver is on Disney’s shortlist to succeed Bob Iger as CEO, according to a source.
Silver’s contract with the NBA runs through 2024. Silver is currently negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement with the NBPA and also new media rights deals with its broadcast partners.
If Silver were to leave the NBA, the timing of his current contract would make sense since he would be coming off the conclusion of two major deals.
