Other games in round 19 were not that significant. Kaysersberg was smashed by Caen on the road 90-66. Cergy-Pontoise won against Hyeres-Toulon on its own court 78-63. Boulogne recorded a loss to Andrezieux in a road game 79-93. Pont-de-Cheruy crushed Cergy-Pontoise at home 77-58. Feurs CTC was beaten by Le Havre on the opponent’s court 70-64. Hyeres-Toulon lost to Caen in a home game 60-68. Besancon managed to outperform Kaysersberg on the road 88-78.
The most impressive performance of 19th round was 14 points and 16 rebounds by Doume Pierrick Moukenga of Hyeres-Toulon.

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Hyeres-Toulon (3-16) lost at home to fifth ranked Caen (13-6) 68-60 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for Kenyan-American forward Joel Awich (201-1993, college: Cal Poly) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Mounir Bernaoui (203-1997) accounted for 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Lithuanian point guard Mantvydas Staniulis (186-1997) came up with 17 points and forward Doume Pierrick Moukenga (203-1987) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Hyeres-Toulon in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Hyeres-Toulon’s coach Pierre Tavano let to play ten players, but that didn’t help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Caen. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Hyeres-Toulon lost their third game in a row. Five Besancon and four Kaysersberg players scored in double figures. Besancon moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Kaysersberg keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Besancon will meet at home league’s leader SPO Rouen in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
