The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Estonian Tartu (2-1) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Polish Trefl (2-2) 76-72. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Garrett Nevels (188-1992, college: Hawaii, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Latvian Rolands Freimanis (209-1988) contributed with 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Leemet Bockler (201-2001, college: St.Mary’s, CA) replied with 22 points and 5 rebounds for Tartu. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Trefl keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Zastal and I.Ness Ziona. Tartu at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Trefl will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tartu will play on the road against Stal in Ostrow Wlkp. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Top-ranked Polish Wilki Morskie (4-0) saved a 3-point victory at home edging one of their biggest challengers Israeli Ironi Nes-Ziona (2-2) 89-86 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ironi Nes-Ziona. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Zac Cuthbertson (201-1996, college: Coastal) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 7 rebounds and Bryce Brown who added 23 points during the contest. At the losing side point guard DJ Cooper (183-1990, college: Ohio) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists. Wilki Morskie have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 4-0 record having just two point less than leader Siauliai. Ironi Nes-Ziona at the other side still keeps top place with two games lost. They share the position with Zastal and Trefl. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

The most impressive performance of 4th round was 15 points and 10 rebounds by Tomas Pavelka of Tartu.

I.Ness Ziona – Brno 94-80

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when third ranked Israeli Ironi Nes-Ziona (2-2) beat their biggest opponent Czech Brno (0-4) in Nes Ziyona 94-80 on Tuesday. Ironi Nes-Ziona made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The winners were led by American forward Tyler Bey (201-1998, college: Colorado, agency: Agency) who scored that evening 21 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Shaq Buchanan (190-1997, college: Murray St.) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field).
