Los Angeles Lakers are going to face the OKC Thunder without LeBron James, who was ruled out ahead of Thursday’s matchup due to an abdominal strain, the team announced.
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Lakers are expected to take their time with their superstar’s recovery. The 19-year veteran has already missed two of the Lakers’ first eight games.
James aggravated the injury during the Lakers’ win over the Houston Rockets Tuesday. The veteran superstar is averaging 24.8 points on 46.7% shooting, seven assists and 5.5 rebounds.
The Lakers travel to Portland Saturday to face the Blazers, followed by a home game vs. LaMelo Ball and the Charlotte Hornets.
