LeBron James is in 6th place on the NBA’s all-time assist list after passing Magic Johnson in Friday night’s win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
James set the mark after passing to Anthony Davis for three with 8:41 left in the fourth quarter.
“To know that I’m in the conversation or about to get to a point that I’m breaking a record that he set for this franchise — and I’m not comparing myself to Magic with this franchise, what he did, sheesh … but it’s just pretty cool, always, when I’m able to see my name with some of the greats that have played this game,” James told ESPN earlier this week.
James, who finished the game with 28 points and 11 assists, described the win as the best performance the Big 3 have put together this season.
James now trails Mark Jackson, Steve Nash, Chris Paul, Jason Kidd, and John Stockton in all-time assists.
