The best player for the winners was Serbian guard Djordje Dimitrijevic (188-1997, college: Mercer) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American forward Jacob Calloway (202-1996, college: SUU, agency: MSG) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Montenegrin forward Bojan Subotic (203-1990) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the guests. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. OSE Lions have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Szolnok at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with ZTE KK and Alba. OSE Lions are looking forward to face league’s leader Szombathely on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Szolnok will play against ZTE KK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Hubner NBS (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 86-78 loss to twelfth ranked Szedeak (2-5) in Nyiregyhaza. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Tyler Roberson (203-1994, college: Syracuse) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. Desi Washington contributed with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Darius Perry (188-1999, college: UCF) replied with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for Hubner NBS. Hubner NBS’s coach Akos Petho rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Szedeak moved-up to eleventh place. Hubner NBS at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Szedeak will play against DEAC (#12) in Debrecen in the next round. Hubner NBS will play on the road against Kormend and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Alba will meet at home Sopron KC (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Kaposvari will play against Bp. Honved in Budapest and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 8 DEAC was defeated by ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg 84-79.
The best stats of 8th round was 16 points by Danilo Ostojic of ZTE KK.

Kaposvari – Alba 95-103

There was no surprise in Zalaegerszeg where 11th ranked DEAC (2-6) was defeated by fourth ranked ZTE KK (6-2) 84-79 on Wednesday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. ZTE KK made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard DMitrik Trice (183-1996, college: Wisconsin) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and the other American import forward Mitchell Smith (208-1997, college: Missouri) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five ZTE KK players scored in double figures. Guard Balint Mocsan (190-1997, college: Idaho St.) responded with 22 points and American point guard Michaelyn Scott (184-1993, college: Idaho) scored 12 points and 7 assists.
