The Regular Season in ProA U21 just started. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.
Bourg smashed Paris BA at home 95-56. Bourg forced 26 Paris BA turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Paris BA’s players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Maxime Galin (202-2002) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. point guard Elian Benitez (180-2003) contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Killian Malwaya (197-2005) answered with 15 points and 5 rebounds for Paris BA. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Paris BA will play next round against Nanterre trying to get back on the winning streak. Bourg will try to continue on its current victory against Le Portel on the road.

A very close game took place in Le Mans between Le Mans and Fos-Provence. Le Mans got a very close home victory over Fos-Provence. Le Mans managed to escape with a 1-point win 85-84 on Saturday evening. Ethane Bourgade nailed 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Le Mans’ coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Ousmane Kaba came up with 21 points and 4 steals for Fos-Provence in the defeat. Le Mans will meet Limoges CSP on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fos-Provence will play against Cholet and hope to win that game.
Other games in round 1 were not that significant. Blois lost to Roanne on the road 68-82. Nanterre won against Monaco on its own court 96-78. ASVEL lost to Cholet in a road game 71-73. Gravelines lost to Levallois at home 52-88. Limoges CSP defeated Nancy on the opponent’s court 67-62. Pau-Lacq-Orthez beat Strasbourg in a home game 96-81.
The most impressive performance of 1st round was 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Michael Belle of Strasbourg.
Dijon – Le Portel 96-72
