As his basketball career continues to take in shape, Bronny James is now being expected to charge within the collegiate field.
As reported by ESPN’s Paul Biancardi, there’s a “strong feeling” that James will take the college route, wherein several programs like UCLA Bruins, USC Trojans, Michigan Wolverines, Ohio State Buckeyes and Oregon Ducks have offered their pitch to attract the 17-year-old.
Although it’s still relatively early in the recruiting process, there is a strong feeling he will take the college route as opposed to the G League Ignite or other developmental leagues. He is being pursued by the likes of UCLA, USC, Michigan, Ohio State and Oregon, among others.
Though there are still plenty of whispers that he will embark a professional league for the next stop of his career, there’s no doubt that James Jr. has delivered signs of relative skills as a six-foot-three guard at his age. While being the son of the legendary LeBron James may have impacted these reported recruitments, his growth and maturity will just continue to flourish and are deserving to be given attention.
James Jr. currently ranks as a 4-star recruit and ranked No. 43 in the class of 2023 based on the listing of 247Sports. He is set to finish his senior year in Sierra Canyon.
