Coming off a year where he was limited by injuries, Anthony Davis has worked hard this offseason to make himself better, says Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.
AD’s comment that he hasn’t made a shoot since April received backlash from sports analysts and even NBA legend Kevin Garnett. However, Pelinka says that the 29-year-old forward has worked quietly and the results are already visible.
“He’s bought in,” the Lakers executive said about Davis, per Dan Woike. Pelinka also added that AD has “quietly put together one of the biggest offseasons of his career. You can just tell. He’s got a very serious tone to him.”
This past season Davis averaged 23.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 35.1 minutes over 40 regular season games.
