Serbian standout Nikola Jovic has declared that he will enter this year’s NBA Draft, his agent Misko Raznatovic informed ESPN’s Jonathan Givony.
Jovic, 18, currently plays under the banner of Mega Mozzart of the Adriatic League, as he is averaging 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 28 minutes per contest.
Last year, Jovic guided the Serbian national ball club to a top four finish in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup. With an output of 18.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in seven games, he was named in the All-Tournament team alongside fellow young talents like Chet Holmgren, Jaden Ivey and Victor Wembanyama.
Standing at 6’10” and playing the swingman role, Jovic’s skillset of shooting, passing and ball handling draws comparison to Atlanta Hawks’ Danilo Gallinari and Deni Avdija of the Washington Wizards. In ESPN’s Top 100 prospects, he currently sits at the no. 23 spot.
The 2022 NBA Draft is set to happen on June 23 in Brooklyn, New York.
