Here is the weekly review of the top performing Slovenian players, who play currently abroad.
   #1. This week’s number one is former international guard Luka Doncic (201-1999, currently plays in NBA). He led Dallas Mavericks to a victory over the Golden State Warriors (43-20) 122-113 in the NBA in Thursday night’s game.
Doncic was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 41 points and getting 10 rebounds. Doncic also added 9 assists in 40 minutes on the court.
The Dallas Mavericks have a solid 38-25 record this season.
It was his team’s third consecutive victory in a row.
Doncic has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 27.8ppg, 9.1rpg, 8.8apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 52.2%, 3FGP: 33.2% and FT: 73.9% in 48 games he played so far.
Doncic played for the Slovenian senior national team year ago.

   #2. Second place goes to former U20 international guard Maj Kovacevic (192-1990, agency: BIG, currently plays in Croatia). He was the main contributor in Split‘s victory against the seventh-ranked Zabok (9-12) crushing them 84-63 in the Croatian Premijer Liga last Sunday.
Kovacevic was the best player in that game. He recorded 18 points.
KK Split (17-4) is placed first in the Premijer Liga.
It was his team’s seventh consecutive victory in a row.
The Regular Season already ended.
Kovacevic has relatively good stats this season: 10.8ppg, 2.1rpg, 3FGP: 43.7% and FT: 69.2%.
He has a dual citizenship: Slovenian and Croatian.
Former Krka Novo Mesto starter played for the Slovenian U20 national team in 10.

   #3. The Slovenian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international point guard Zan Mark Sisko (190-1997, agency: BeoBasket, currently plays in Germany). Sisko managed to help FC Bayern Muenchen in a victory against the 12th-ranked Hamburg Towers 86-75 in the German BBL on Wednesday night.
He scored 5 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 14 assists in 35 minutes.
FC Bayern Muenchen (17-5) is placed first in the BBL.
This year Sisko’s overall stats are: 4.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 5.2apg, 2FGP: 52.0%, 3FGP: 25.9% and FT: 66.7% in 13 games.
He played for the Slovenian national team year ago.

   #4. Shooting guard Ziga Jurcek (195-1998, currently plays in Serbia) could not help Vrsac (12-11) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Jurcek’s very good performance Vrsac was edged 77-74 on the road by the second-ranked Sloga KR.
He was the second best scorer with 17 points. Jurcek also added 6 rebounds.
This season Jurcek has relatively solid stats: 10.4ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.3apg and 1.3spg.

   #5. Former U20 international point guard Jan Novak (193-1995, currently plays in Serbia) was not able to help KK Sloboda Uzice (8-6) in their last game. Despite Novak’s good performance KK Sloboda Uzice lost 87-91 in Zemun to the lower-ranked (#6) Mladost ZE.
He scored 10 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 8 assists in 25 minutes.
This year Novak’s total stats are: 7.4ppg, 3.9rpg, 5.0apg and 1.7spg in 21 games.

years ago.

   #6. Center Ziga Dimec (210-1993, currently plays in Poland) was not able to secure a victory for Anwil (15-8) in their game against MKS DG (8-15) in the Polish EBL.
Dimec scored 9 points and blocked 2 shots.
But Anwil was defeated 92-86 in Dabrowa Gornicza by the much lower-ranked MKS DG (#13).
It was Anwil’s fourth consecutive loss in a row.
Dimec has averaged so far 9.6ppg and 5.2rpg.
He is a former international player as he played for the Slovenian senior team year ago.

   #7. Former U20 international point guard Nejc Baric (183-1997, currently plays in Croatia) is a teammate of previously mentioned Maj Kovacevic and both played together in the last Croatian Premijer Liga game.
Baric contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Zabok (9-12) crushing them 84-63.
He recorded 10 points in 31 minutes.
Baric has averaged so far 5.8ppg, 1.9rpg, 3.9apg and 1.1spg in 21 games.

   #8. An experienced guard Goran Dragic (190-1986, currently plays in NBA) couldn’t help the Brooklyn Nets (32-31) in their game against the Miami Heat (42-22) in the NBA.
Dragic scored 9 points and added 7 passes.
But the Brooklyn Nets (32-31) were defeated 113-107 in Miami by the Heat.
Dragic has averaged so far 7.0ppg, 2.3rpg and 4.7apg.

   #9. Former U20 international point guard Sandi Grubelic (196-1996, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Vrsac (12-11) crushing them 84-60 in the Serbian KLS on Wednesday night.
Grubelic recorded 6 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 23 minutes.
KK Zlatibor Cajetina (17-5) is placed first in the KLS.
It was his team’s 12th consecutive victory in a row.
Grubelic has averaged so far 8.5ppg, 2.2rpg and 3.0apg in 21 games.

   #10. Guard Jernej Ledl (194-1997, currently plays in Bosnia) was the major contributor in Mladost‘s victory against the closely-ranked Bratunac (8-8) 101-96 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I in Saturday night’s game.
Ledl recorded 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.
KK Mladost Mrkonjic Grad (6-8) is placed ninth in the Division I.
Ledl has reliable stats this season: 13.6ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.1apg and 1.6spg.
He is a former U20 international player as years ago he still played for the Slovenian national team.

   #11. Former U20 international point guard Nejc Klavzar (187-1999, agency: PEPI SPORT, currently plays in Serbia) contributed to a Mladost ZE‘s victory against the 12th-ranked Dunav SB 88-77 in the Serbian KLS last Saturday.
Klavzar recorded 7 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 25 minutes.
Klavzar has averaged so far 7.5ppg, 2.6rpg and 3.7apg in 20 games.
He used to play for the Slovenian U20 national team
years ago.

   #12. Former U20 international point guard Mirza Sarajlija (187-1991, currently plays in Iceland) couldn’t help Fjolnir (16-6) in their last game on Friday. Despite Sarajlija’s very good performance the league leader Fjolnir was defeated 116-107 in Fludir by the much lower-ranked Hrunamenn (#8).
He was the top scorer with 40 points. Sarajlija also added 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals (made all of his eight free throws).
This season Sarajlija has very high stats. He averages: 21.3ppg, 4.7rpg, 5.8apg and 2.6spg.

   #13. Former U20 international forward David Gabrovsek (204-1994, college: MBU, currently plays in Iceland) couldn’t help Stjarnan (10-8) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Stjarnan lost 88-94 in Sauoarkrokur to the lower-ranked (#7) Tindastoll.
Gabrovsek was the second best scorer with 21 points in 30 minutes.
Gabrovsek has very impressive stats this year: 15.9ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.5apg in 17 games.

years ago.

   #14. Former U20 international point guard Daniel Vujasinovic (188-1989, also represented by BIG, currently plays in Bosnia) helped OKK Sloboda Tuzla win their game against the tenth-ranked KK Radnik Bn Basket Bijeljina 83-65 in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Division I last Saturday.
Vujasinovic recorded 8 points and added 5 assists.
Vujasinovic has averaged so far 4.7ppg, 2.3rpg, 6.7apg and 1.7spg.
He used to play for the Slovenian U20 national team
back in 9.

   #15. Former international power forward Gezim Morina (204-1992, currently plays in Liga Unike) helped his Kosovan team Ylli win their game against the sixth-ranked Rahoveci 91-80 in the Liga Unike in Wednesday night’s game.
He scored 13 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists.
Morina’s stats this season are: 13.3ppg, 6.5rpg, 3.8apg and 1.3spg.
He used to play for the Slovenian national team
years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Slovenian passport but never been selected to any of Slovenian national teams:

   #1. Zan Kosic (188-SG-1993, currently plays in Romania) led Constanta to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Rapid (1-1) crushing them 88-66 in the Romanian Liga Nationala on Saturday night.
Kosic recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in 28 minutes.
BC Athletic Neptun Constanta (9-9) is placed sixth in the Liga Nationala.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical.
Kosic’s stats this year are: 11.0ppg, 3.5rpg and 4.8apg in 21 games he played so far.

   #2. Vasja Pandza (203-G-2001, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to Seattle‘s victory against the Dixie State University (5-7) 73-65 in the NCAA last Saturday.
Pandza recorded 8 points.
The Seattle University has a solid 9-4 conference record this season.
His team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
Pandza has averaged so far 5.0ppg and 2.9rpg.
He has a dual citizenship: British and Slovenian.
Despite Pandza’s Slovenian passport, he previously played for the British U16 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Slovenian team.

   #3. Marko Gutalj (201-F-2000, currently plays in Austria) led KOS to a victory over the fifth-ranked Worthersee Piraten (6-8) crushing them 89-68 in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga (second division) in Friday night’s game.
Gutalj was the top player that evening. He recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and getting 13 rebounds. Gutalj also added 2 blocks.
KOS Celovec (8-6) is placed third in Capital West Conference.
There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important.
Gutalj has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.6ppg, 10.5rpg, 2.0apg, 2.1bpg and 1.5spg.

   #4. Experienced Simon Finzgar (196-F-1980, currently plays in Austria) could not help Worthersee Piraten (6-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Finzgar’s good performance the fifth-placed Worthersee Piraten (6-8) was defeated 77-73 on the road by the higher-ranked BBU (#4) in the Capital West Conference.
He was the second best scorer with 10 points. Finzgar also added 4 passes.
His team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is quite important.
Finzgar has averaged so far 9.6ppg, 4.8rpg, 2.8apg and 1.5spg.

   #5. Luka Milovac (192-F-1994, currently plays in Austria) faced previously mentioned Simon Finzgar in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga last game.
Milovac was the main contributor in BBU‘s victory against the fifth-ranked Worthersee Piraten (6-8) 77-73.
He was the top player that evening. Milovac had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 3 assists in 35 minutes.
Milovac’s team will play only one more game in the Regular Season.
Milovac has averaged so far 9.2ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.0apg and 1.1spg in nine games.

   #6. Sead Mulalic (190-G-1997, currently plays in Austria) is a teammate of previously mentioned Simon Finzgar and both played together in the last Austrian 2.Bundesliga game.
Mulalic was not able to help Worthersee Piraten (6-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance the fifth-placed Worthersee Piraten was defeated 77-73 in Salzburg by the higher-ranked BBU (#4) in the Capital West Conference.
Mulalic scored 10 points.
This season Mulalic averages only 6.5ppg.

   #7. Jure Bavdek (1997, currently plays in Austria) is a teammate of previously mentioned Simon Finzgar. He played also in the last Austrian 2.Bundesliga game facing Marko Gutalj (above) in the other team.
Bavdek was not able to secure a victory for Worthersee Piraten in their game against KOS.
He scored 7 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 24 minutes.
His team was crushed by 21 points 89-68.
Bavdek’s stats this year are: 12.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.6apg and 1.6spg in 14 games.

   #8. Andi Smrtnik (194-F-1994, currently plays in Austria) is a teammate of previously mentioned Marko Gutalj. But that was another game of his team in Austrian 2.Bundesliga which we would like to mention.
Smrtnik couldn’t help KOS in their game against Blackbirds. Despite his good performance on Sunday night He scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line).
Smrtnik has averaged so far 7.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.6apg and 1.6spg.
He is another player who holds two passports: Slovenian and Austrian.

   #9. Fuad Memcic (209-C-1982, currently plays in Austria) contributed to an easy victory against the third-ranked Furstenfeld Panthers crushing them 92-64 in the Austrian 2.Bundesliga (second division) in Saturday night’s game.
Memcic scored 6 points in only 12 minutes.
Memcic has averaged so far 9.7ppg and 4.9rpg in 13 games.
He has both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenian nationalities.

   #10. Erik Groznik (201-F-2000, currently plays in Austria) is a teammate of previously mentioned Marko Gutalj and both played together in the last Austrian 2.Bundesliga game.
Groznik contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Worthersee Piraten crushing them 89-68.
He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Groznik averaged so far 12.4ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.1apg.
