The Regular Season in Basketligan is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Top ranked Norrkoping Dolphins (25-4) recorded its fourth loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were edged by fourth ranked SBBK (17-11) 93-92. It ended at the same time the 16-game winning streak of Norrkoping Dolphins. SBBK shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Trey Freeman (189-1992, college: ODU) who scored 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Serbian Lazar Radosavljevic (204-1991, agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Tim Schuberg (188-1995) who recorded 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. SBBK have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 17-11 record. Defending champion Norrkoping Dolphins still keep top position with four games lost. SBBK are looking forward to face Boras Basket (#6) at home in the next round. Norrkoping Dolphins will play against BC Lulea (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Lulea. Third ranked BC Lulea faced second-best KFUM Jamtland. Host BC Lulea (19-10) defeated guests from Ostersund (19-9) 93-80. It was a good game for American guard DeRiante Jenkins (196-1996, college: VCU) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 5 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Tavarius Shine contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American point guard CJ Wilson (180-1994, college: Young Harris) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists for KFUM Jamtland. KFUM Jamtland’s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. BC Lulea maintains third place with 19-10 record having six points less than leader Norrkoping. KFUM Jamtland lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with nine games lost. BC Lulea will play against league’s leader Norrkoping Dolphins at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KFUM Jamtland will play against Koping Stars and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game where Koping Stars (#8) won against host Boras Basket (#5) 88-82 on Friday evening. Liam OReilly stepped up and scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. The best for the losing side was William Gutenius with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Koping Stars have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 10-19 record. Boras Basket lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. Koping Stars will meet at home league’s second-placed KFUM Jamtland in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Boras Basket will play against SBBK (#4) in Sodertalje and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 33 Sodertalje was defeated by Nassjo in a road game 96-85. Winless Fryshuset was smashed by Umea at home 71-94.

Nassjo – Sodertalje 96-85

There was a minor upset when 4th placed SBBK (17-11) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Nassjo (14-14) 96-85 on Friday. American swingman Keenan Gumbs (196-1996, college: Liberty) stepped up and scored 32 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and forward Craig Lecesne (206-1997, college: SJSU) chipped in 11 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Gumbs is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American point guard Trey Freeman (189-1992, college: ODU) with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-1991, college: Texas Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Nassjo moved-up to fifth place. SBBK at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Nassjo will meet Umea (#7) on the road in the next round. SBBK will play against Boras Basket and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Fryshuset – Umea 71-94

No shocking result in a game in Stockholm where seventh ranked Umea (10-17) smashed bottom-ranked Fryshuset (0-29) 94-71 on Friday. Umea looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Umea made 7 blocks. American-Nigerian swingman Cameron Oluyitan (201, college: SUU) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and American forward Cole Welle (201-1996, college: California) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. Umea’s coach Boris Balibrea felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American center Kenneth Simms (206-1986, college: Cumberland, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Elias Weibert (191-2001) scored 20 points and 5 assists. Umea maintains seventh place with 10-17 record. Fryshuset at the other side still closes the standings. Umea will meet at home higher ranked Nassjo (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Fryshuset will have a break next round.

BC Lulea made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while KFUM Jamtland only scored six points from the stripe.
