What to Know
After three games on the road, the Philadelphia 76ers are heading back home. They will take on the Indiana Pacers at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday at Wells Fargo Center. The 76ers are out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
The Sixers were within striking distance but couldn’t close the gap on Thursday as they fell 119-114 to the Toronto Raptors. Philadelphia’s loss shouldn’t obscure the performances of point guard Tyrese Maxey, who had 22 points, and center Joel Embiid, who posted a double-double on 30 points and ten boards. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Embiid has had at least ten rebounds.
Indiana is out to make up for these teams’ contest on Tuesday. They came up short against the Sixers, falling 131-122. Indiana’s defeat came about despite a quality game from shooting guard Buddy Hield, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds in addition to five assists.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We’ll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
