The 76ers failed to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals as they were eliminated by the Heat in six games in the second round. There were some speculations that the team could part ways with its head coach Doc Rivers.
A recent report by Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports suggests that Philadelphia is committed to the head coach and plans to improve the roster for the next season. Rivers has been with the Sixers since 2020 and has one year left on his contract.
NBA insider Brian Windhorst reported that the Lakers would become very interested in Rivers if he gets fired by the 76ers.
